THE SUNDURANCE ENERGY STORY
SunDurance Energy, headquartered in Edison, N.J., is a part of The Conti Group, a nationwide leader in infrastructure development, engineering and construction, power, water, environmental remediation, homeland security and renewable energy. SunDurance was born of the vision of Kurt Conti, CEO of The Conti Group.
Under Mr. Conti’s leadership, The Conti Group has dramatically grown beyond construction/ engineering to become one of the nation’s foremost firms in environmental analysis and remediation, and has further branched out into comprehensive security solutions and power and industrial business units.
As national energy concerns triggered state and federal initiatives in renewable power generation, Mr. Conti realized the need of corporations and municipalities to find new, highly capable partners to develop, design, build and operate large, complex renewable energy systems. This led to the creation of Alternity Power, a holding company for The Conti Group’s efforts in solar, wind, biomass and other alternative energy businesses. In 2007, SunDurance Energy, LLC was spun out as a separate affiliate of The Conti Group to continue to develop solar market opportunities.
Thus, SunDurance was launched — a company that can seamlessly deliver end-to-end solar solutions — using a business model that speeds the adoption of solar energy for those who value their investment and their environment.
